On 14 September 2018, I spoke at the launch of Rochdale's New Pioneers programme – a programme aimed at improving the lives of the people of Central Rochdale. Central Rochdale is one of the most deprived parts of Greater Manchester, and I hope this new programme will improve the employment prospects of the people who live there, as well as helping them to live better, healthier lives.
The programme was created and led by Rochdale Borough Housing, in collaboration with local communities and a number of other organisations.
