Can't Make Outgoing Calls
Not able to make outgoing calls?
If you're not able to make an outgoing call on your landline, here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
1: Checking for a Dial Tone
- Check for a dial tone by picking up your telephone. If you have no dial tone, follow this article here
- Dial 17070 on your telephone to hear a readout of your telephone number (don't worry about pressing any options after the readout), this is just to check your number is correct. If you hear a number that's not your own, please contact us to investigate
- If you haven't already, test your telephone from the Master Test Socket in isolation. You can find a video on how to do this here
2: Is the call being blocked?
- Does this issue only happen when you call a specific number? Test this by calling the same number using another telephone, or a different number entirely
- Check Call Barring is not enabled by dialling * # 34 #
- If you have Carrier Pre-Select enabled, dial 1280, followed by a test number, to force the call to travel through Zen
