We’re proud to announce that Zen has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2026 by Great Place To Work® UK, earning a place among the top-performing organisations in the country.

This independent assessment – widely recognised as the gold standard of employer recognition – is used to evaluate the strength of workplace culture, leadership effectiveness, trust, and the extent to which businesses empower people to reach their full potential.

It’s an achievement we’re proud of, recognising not only what we do, but who we are: an organisation committed to inclusion, quality, sustainable growth, and doing right by both people and planet.

A year of progress and purpose

This recognition reflects the meaningful steps we’ve taken to evolve the experience of our people and strengthen the culture we all value so highly. Over the past year we’ve:

  • Launched HoriZen, our new learning platform which empowers colleagues to own their development and access learning.
  • Introduced a new, intuitive people system that enhances processes and improves how we support our colleagues.
  • Introduced a clearly defined set of company values and behaviours. This is a formalisation of the principles that have always been part of Zen, helping to reinforce how we work, what we stand for, and how we succeed together.
  • Launched imPPPact, our unified ESG strategy that brings together our Environmental Steering Group and B Corp Working Group into a single focused team.
  • Refreshed our office environment, introducing a variety of work settings – open collaboration zones, high-bench workspaces, and private acoustic pods – to encourage collaboration, creativity and better ways of working.

These steps, combined with the everyday efforts of our people, are helping to strengthen the culture that makes Zen a truly special place to work.

Don’t take our word for it

The UK’s Best Workplaces list is based on confidential employee feedback and measured against a number of categories:

  • Trust in leadership
  • The ability for employees to reach their full potential
  • Alignment with company values
  • A culture that supports innovation
  • Strong team cohesion and consistency across the organisation

And our people spoke clearly:

“World-class culture – Zen has created a ‘belonging’ through years of consistently being in its original Happy Staff purpose. For example, embracing work patterns that support a work-life balance, developing and supporting growth through internal promotions, fair pay. We truly are a People First business!”

“I love the flexibility when it comes to working from home. This is a big thing for me as I don’t drive and working from home has saved me a lot of time and money for which I am very appreciative.”

“Zen is a great place to work because it’s a certified B Corp with a genuinely people-first culture. The focus is on doing what’s right for customers, supporting each other, and providing real opportunities to learn, develop, and move across teams.”

Comments like these and the many others we received showcase our ongoing commitment to ensuring everyone at Zen feels supported, heard and valued.

Maxine Blackwell, our people and culture director shared:

“Being recognised in the UK’s Best Workplaces List reflects the strong culture and shared values that run throughout Zen.

“At the heart of Zen is a culture built on pride in what we do, putting our customers first, recognising the achievements of our people, striving for excellence, and working together as one team. It’s this collective approach that makes Zen such a great place to work.”

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place To Work UK, added:

“Year after year, it’s inspiring to see more organisations earn a place on the UK’s Best Workplaces List. Trust Index™ scores continue to rise, and winning organisations consistently create great experiences for all employees. Congratulations to Zen Internet for achieving a place on our 2026 list.”

A growing legacy of recognition

This marks Zen’s third UK’s Best Workplaces award in the Large category since partnering with Great Place To Work in 2021. As part of this partnership, we take the survey every two years to benchmark and strengthen our employee experience.

Alongside this latest achievement, we’ve also been recognised in several specialist lists:

  • UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™ (2024)
  • UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing™ (2022, 2024)
  • UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ (2022, 2024)
  • UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ (2024)

Together, these recognitions reflect our continuing commitment to being a place where our people can thrive, personally and professionally.

Looking ahead

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together, but even more excited about what’s next. The insights from these surveys help to guide our ongoing development, so we can build an even better Zen for the future.

We remain committed to strengthening trust, collaboration, wellbeing and opportunities for all, so that Zen is and remains a workplace where people feel they belong and can do their best work.
