Email Sending Policy and Safeguards

Policy and Safeguards

Our shared hosting email service is designed to support everyday email use while keeping the platform secure and reliable for all customers. To do this, we apply sensible limits and security checks that help prevent spam, malware, and delivery issues.

These safeguards protect your domain’s reputation and help ensure your emails arrive safely in recipients’ inboxes.

How We Keep Email Reliable and Secure

    Malware and Security Scanning

All incoming and outgoing email is scanned automatically for malware. This helps stop harmful content from being sent or received through our servers and protects both senders and recipients.

    Sending Limits

    Hourly Email Limit

    • Each cPanel account can send up to 500 emails per hour.

This limit helps prevent spam or misuse and ensures fair usage across the shared server. If you need to send large volumes of email (for example, newsletters or marketing emails), we recommend using a dedicated bulk email service designed for that purpose.

    Delivery Failures and Temporary Restrictions

Our systems monitor for repeated delivery failures or delays (often called defers). If a large number of emails fail to send within a short period, outgoing mail may be temporarily restricted.

    This helps protect:

    • Your domain reputation
    • The server’s overall email deliverability
    • Other customers on the platform

Once the issue is resolved, sending will automatically return to normal.

    Spam Filtering - Scoring

We use SpamAssassin, an industry‑standard spam filtering system.

    • Emails scoring 10 or higher are automatically rejected
These messages are considered very likely to be spam or suspicious.
    Forwarded Email Checks

Forwarded email is subject to stricter filtering:

    • Forwarded messages may be rejected with a score of 5 or higher

Forwarded mail can negatively affect email reputation if abused, so tighter filtering helps maintain reliable delivery for everyone.

    Blocked Attachment Types

To keep email safe, certain attachment types are blocked because they are commonly used to spread malware or malicious scripts.

Examples of blocked file types include:

.ade  .adp  .bas  .bat  .chm  .cmd  .com  .cpl  .crt

.eml  .exe  .hlp  .hta  .inf  .ins  .isp  .jse  .js

.lnk  .mdb  .mde  .msc  .msi  .msp  .mst  .pcd

.pif  .reg  .scr  .sct  .shs  .url  .vbs  .vbe

    .wsf  .wsh  .wsc

If you need to share files safely, we recommend using a secure file‑sharing service and sending a download link instead.

    Email Standards and Compatibility

Our email platform follows cPanel‑supported email standards and modern security requirements, including:

    • Secure TLS encryption
    • Up‑to‑date cipher support

This helps keep email transmission secure and ensures compatibility with modern mail providers.

    Why These Safeguards Matter

    These measures help:

    • Improve email delivery rates
    • Reduce spam and abuse
    • Protect your domain’s reputation
    • Keep the shared hosting platform safe for everyone
