Zen Internet awarded Comms Business 'Internet Service Provider of the Year' Finalist

24 May 2012: These awards recognise excellence in the Channel and acknowledge the successes of the reseller community, the vendors, distributors and service providers as well as those individuals who truly set the standard.

Unlike some other awards, ISP of the Year is based totally on the votes of Comms Business readers, increasing the importance and recognition associated with the award.

Zen's Partner Programme has been established with the aim of offering Partners the opportunity to sell a wide range of Internet-based products and services that complement Partners' existing portfolios. Zen is focused on working with Partners who share a desire to provide an excellent end-to-end customer experience, and understand the value of offering reliable, good quality products and services.

Zen's Wholesale Channel Programme is for Partners who are committed to selling Zen's larger and more complex services, such as Leased Lines, IP VPN and Managed Hosting. These Partners will also be responsible for managing their customer relationships including support and billing provision.

The Wholesale Channel Programme was developed after consultation with Partners and is an extension to Zen's existing Partner Programme.

We are delighted to have become a finalist for this award and we are grateful to all our Partners and Comms Business readers who took the time to vote for Zen Internet.

This pays testament to the commitment of everyone here at Zen who supports our mission to provide the best ISP service in the UK, particularly the support provided by our Partner programme team under the leadership of Deborah Wrigley.

Andrew Saunders, Head of Product Management and Marketing, Zen Internet.

As a member of Zen's Partner Programme, Partners have direct access to Zen's entire range of products and services. The Programme has been designed to support Partners and provide everything they need, from dedicated account management, to bespoke training and technical support, to successfully integrating Zen's award winning products with their own product portfolio.

Zen is investing over £1M in the development and rebuild of its Partner Portal. The project which is one of Zen's current top business priorities focusses on the provision of a tailored suite of self service and management tools e.g. DSL diagnostics, centralised fault management, replacement of the Partner online ordering system and new customer and relationship management tools e.g. portal user and permission management, improved commission tools etc.

Partners can utilise Zen's online Partner Portal to order products and services 24/7 directly on behalf of their customers. The Portal offers a range of useful features and resources giving Partners online visibility of their customer orders, commission account and marketing and training materials.

The new Portal will improve communication and efficiency when dealing with Zen and give Partners greater control and flexibility when selling our services and supporting their customers.

Zen has developed an advanced Next Generation Network (NGN) that can prioritise delay sensitive and mission critical applications. This is fundamental for Zen's partners that see their future in Unified Communications and the delivery of a complete voice and data network convergence proposition.

Zen's NGN services includes Zen's Fibre Optic Broadband, which now offers download speeds of "up to 76Mbps" and upload speeds of "up to 19Mbps" and EFM services with symmetric bandwith, recently increased to a maximum of 35Mbps plus traditional 10M, 100M and 1G Ethernet services. These services are the key enabling technology for a whole range of business internet services such as e-commerce, Cloud Computing, video-conferencing, internet telephony and remote working.

Zen's NGN supports Zen's Business Voice Portfolio which has now been developed to include its telephone line services, Home Talk and Business Talk offering a one-stop-shop solution of broadband, telephone line and calls - all on a monthly contract and perfect partner to Zen's Fibre Optic Broadband. Zen's ISDN services can also co- exist with Zen's Business Talk SIP lines, giving customers a path onwards to Zen's Business Talk SIP into the future.

Zen's Business Talk SIP is designed for businesses wanting to reduce costs and improve business communications and is an ideal as a value added service delivering a combined voice, data and internet solution for business customers.
