More secure

Your business network carries everything: emails, files, payments, voice calls and connected devices, all at the same time. eero business helps keep it protected by separating traffic across your network, so guest WiFi stays separate from your business systems. You can prioritise critical areas like voice or payment systems, helping reduce risk while keeping everything running smoothly.

More reliable

Your business depends on WiFi working everywhere, all the time, not just next to the router. Got questions? We've got answers.

Wondering how Full Fibre connectivity and eero business compares to your current setup? Or how your business will handle voice calls after upgrading?

We've got the answers below...

Broadband technology has evolved over time with the older technologies being ADSL, FTTC. In short SOGEA is a modern alternative that removes the reliance on the landline and is provided as an option when Full Fibre is not yet available.

Here’s how they compare:

  • ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)
ADSL is an older broadband technology that delivers internet over copper phone lines. It relies on a traditional landline and typically offers slower speeds, making it less suitable for modern business needs.

  • FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet)
FTTC is a step up from ADSL. It uses fibre optic cables to connect to your local street cabinet, but the final connection to your premises still runs over copper phone lines. This means it offers faster speeds than ADSL but can still be affected by distance from the cabinet and the quality of the copper lines.

  • SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access)
SOGEA is a newer technology. It delivers similar speeds to FTTC but does not require a landline, reducing the risk of faults and making it a better long-term option. With the UK's copper landline network (PSTN) being switched off, SOGEA ensures your business stays connected without relying on outdated infrastructure.

  • Full Fibre (FTTP – Fibre to the Premises)
Full Fibre is the fastest and most reliable broadband technology, using fibre optic cables all the way to your premises. It offers significantly higher speeds and better performance. While Full Fibre isn't available in your area yet, we'll notify you as soon as it is, so you can upgrade to an even faster connection.

As SOGEA is available in your area, we strongly recommend upgrading as it future-proofs your connectivity and removes your dependence on a landline. When Full Fibre becomes available, we'll let you know so you can upgrade to the best possible broadband solution.

When you move over to Full Fibre technology connectivity voice calls are no longer delivered via the landline. To make and take calls with Zen Business full fibre and eero you need to add all-IP voice package - CloudComms. This will mean that your calls are delivered via your broadband rather than the traditional telephone line.

Zen's CloudComms provide businesses with scalability and flexibility, with the ability to access calls remotely, pick up calls from your business 'landline' number from anywhere, and add more users with different mix and match packages i.e. different minute allowance bundles and advance features based on their needs, so you're only paying for exactly what you do need.

CloudComms Solo starts from just £7.49 per month + VAT so it's a really cost efficient way to make the most of all the reputational benefits and business that comes with having a fixed landline number, but in a more modern and flexible way that works around your business.

To find out more about our business voice packages call the team on 01706 902914 or you can find more information on CloudComms here.

Absolutely!

You would need to add one of our CloudComms packages - which delivers your voice calls using digital signals - so over you broadband connection rather than the landline itself.

If you let us know you'd like to keep your existing number when you place your order we can have this moved over to your new CloudComms voice package for a small porting fee of £15 + VAT.

If you don't want to keep your existing number, then you will be assigned a new number free of charge.

1. What are the real differences between eero 6e and eero Max 7 for business?

The main difference is wireless performance and future-proofing, not management features

  • eero 6e uses WiFi 6 and delivers fast, reliable WiFi for everyday business use.
  • eero Max 7 uses next-generation WiFi 7, designed for higher speeds, more devices and better performance when lots is happening at once.

Both support the same eero Business features, so management and controls are identical.

If you want maximum speed and longevity, choose eero Max 7. If you want strong, dependable WiFi today, eero 6 is a great fit.

2. What does SSID mean and why does it matter for my business?

An SSID is simply a separate WiFi network name.

With eero Business, you can create multiple SSID's, for example:

  • A staff network for business=critical devices
  • A guest network for visitors or customers

This helps you:

  • Keep your business network more secure
  • Prioritise business traffic over guest usage
  • Control bandwidth so guest WiFi doesn't slow your team down

3. Will eero Max 7 actually feel faster than eero 6?

Yes, especially in busy environments.

eero Max 7 handles:

  • More users and devices at the same time
  • Video calls, file transfers and cloud apps running together
  • High-speed connections without congestion

That said, if your broadband speed or devices don't support higher speeds yet, the difference may be less noticeable day to day. eero Max 7 is ideal if you want to be ready for future upgrades.

4. Is it easy to manage multiple eero units?

Yes. Whether you choose eero 6 or eero Max 7, everything is managed from one place.

You can easily:

  • Add extra eeros to extend coverage
  • Manage all WiFi networks and settings together
  • See connected devices and network usage

This makes scaling your WiFi simple as your business grows.

5. How much coverage do I get?

Coverage depends on your space, layout and building materials.

  • One eero works well for a small office
  • A mesh setup (2-3 eeros) gives strong, reliable WiFi across larger spaces, multiple rooms or floors

All eeros work together as one network, so users stay connected as they move around.
