13 September 2012: Zen Internet, one of the UK's leading Internet Service Providers (ISP), has been awarded the PC Pro Best ISP for a ninth time.
These awards are the most comprehensive guide to customer support and product reliability in the UK and Europe and are compiled from the UK's largest independent survey of IT customer satisfaction.
Zen Internet achieved 97% for customer support, 96% for reliability, 84% value for money, 89% for speed and 98% for recommending to a friend, with an overall score of 93%, topping the tables in every category.
Zen Internet has laid claim to the PC Pro broadband award for the past nine years, but the company certainly isn't resting on its laurels. The Rochdale-based ISP's scores have improved in every category since last year, which is staggering when you consider it scored 95% or higher for support, reliability and recommended in 2011.
Zen's premium pricing often harms its value for money score, but even here it has improved from 79% in 2011 to 84% this year.

Starting in early 2010, Zen has worked with the initial Fibre Optic Broadband trials and is continuing to develop these services. There is now even greater coverage with more exchanges fibre enabled with more of Zen's customers connecting at higher speeds than ever before. Just under 1200 exchanges are now complete or in progress with another 275 scheduled to begin by the end of 2012. The nationwide roll-out of Fibre Optic Broadband services is happening faster than ever with over 40% of UK premises enabled by July and expected to exceed 50% very soon.

The significantly faster speeds provided by Fibre Optic Broadband revolutionises the Internet experience for both residential and business users alike, but Zen recognises that making the most of it will have an impact on data consumption. That's why earlier this year Zen doubled its usage allowances across its Fibre Optic Broadband services. Despite the doubling of its usage allowances, Zen is sticking firmly with the policy of no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) and no traffic shaping.
Zen has also recently doubled the maximum speeds of its existing Fibre Optic Broadband services and is now offering download speeds of "up to 76Mbps" and upload speeds of “up to 19Mbps”. Zen has also reduced the price of its Fibre Active products to £29.50 +VAT, which is cheaper than BT's equivalent business broadband product. All Zen's Fibre Optic Broadband products are available on a 12 month contract – the shortest Fibre Optic Broadband contract available in the market.

Zen's new telephone line services, Home Talk and Business Talk provide the same high level of service and support as Zen's award winning broadband for both home and business customers. Home Talk and Business Talk will provide a one-stop-shop for both broadband and telephone services. Customers now have the benefit of being able to use Zen for talking as well as surfing, by only having to deal with one supplier saving both time and money.
