Still deciding?

Don’t just take our word for it – our customers love us. We are a multi-time Which? recommended broadband provider and have won PC Pro’s Best Broadband Provider for 16 consecutive years. Not to mention our latest haul of Broadband Genie awards.

Step 1

Check existing contract.

If you've completed the minimum term, you can switch at any point.

Step 2

Select your package.

Select an available package and place your order.

Step 3

Switch to Zen.

In most cases, we'll contact your old provider (see our FAQs for more detail) and start putting your order in place.

This process is very similar for broadband and phone. Just order a phone line from Zen and we'll notify your existing
supplier and switch your line over in the easiest, most convenient way. If you don't have an existing line we can easily install one for you. Our friendly team will be happy to help.

How do I switch?

All you need to do is select the right deal for you based on speed, sign up, and we'll do the rest. It couldn't be easier! In most cases your broadband service and phone line won't be interrupted, and you won't even need to contact your provider - we'll do all the hard work for you!

You don't need a special code to switch your internet provider. Thanks to changes in industry rules, you can move to Zen more easily and quickly than ever before. All you have to do is place your order with Zen and let us handle the rest.

If you’re switching from a provider that uses the Openreach network (such as BT, TalkTalk, Sky, EE and Plusnet), and you are switching a like for like technology, then we’ll take care of everything for you. We let your old provider know that you want to cancel their service and start a new service with Zen.

In some cases, for example if you are upgrading to FTTP or having a new line installed, we would not automatically contact your current provider and you would need to contact them to let them know you are leaving.

Your broadband and phone could both be switched over in as little as two weeks from the date of your order.

We’ll also transfer your existing phone number to Zen, so no need to change!  When leaving your current service provider, you may need to check your contract to confirm if any final fees need to be paid.

If you currently have cable via Virgin Media or similar, once your Zen order is placed, you will need to call your current provider to let them know that you are switching over, so that they can cancel your services.  Keep your cable service connected until your broadband service is activated.

If you’re switching from a provider that uses the Openreach network (such as BT, TalkTalk, Sky, EE and Plusnet), and you are switching a like for like technology,  you don’t need to do anything. It’s easier to move an active broadband connection over to Zen, so if you cancel your broadband account with your current provider your move could be delayed.

In some cases, for example if you are upgrading to FTTP or having a new line installed, we would not automatically contact your current provider and you would need to contact them to let them know you are leaving.

If you currently have cable via Virgin Media or similar, once your Zen order is placed, you will need to call your current provider to let them know that you are switching over, so that they can cancel your services. Keep your cable service connected until your broadband service is activated.

Once we've confirmed that your service has been switched to us, we recommend that you check that your old provider has cancelled your service.

As soon as your broadband order has been accepted and ongoing payment has been processed we’ll confirm your activation date. If you are switching your service from another provider it could take approximately two weeks to go live.

The process for switching to Zen with Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) is a little more complicated due to the different technology involved, and implementation times may vary. We therefore advise speaking directly with our broadband experts on 01706 902573. They will be able to advise in relation to your specific situation (based on your location and current set up).
