06 February 2013: Zen Internet, one of the UK’s leading Internet Service Providers (ISPs), is pleased to announce that it has been awarded ISO 27001:2005 certification the International standard for the measurement of information security.
Following a lengthy process Zen has now been awarded the internationally recognised ISO 27001:2005. This means that all its processes and controls for managing information security have been externally audited, measured and judged to have met this stringent standard.
ISO 27001 initiated a review of the security controls and processes used to manage Information Security in the provisioning of Zen’s Internet connectivity, security, voice, digital marketing, managed network and hosting services.
As part of the certification process, we have found opportunities to strengthen and formalise our processes. The ISO 27001 certification gives our customers the confidence that their information and data are secure with us.
Zen Internet is always looking to improve how we run our business to ensure we are meeting our mission ‘to provide the best ISP service in the UK’. This certification builds on us achieving ISO 9001:2008 for our quality management system and ISO 14001:2004 for our environmental management system.
