How do I configure and set up the RaQ package?
Included with the RaQ package is an administration page which allows Connecting to the administration page of a website hosted on a RaQ is very simple. From here you can administer your shared hosting account. Further information will be detailed in a future knowledgebase article.
How do I know which kind of RaQ I am on?
The easiest way to tell which kind of RaQ you are on is to ping it. To do this, open a DOS Command Window, a Macintosh terminal or a Unix Shell, and type "ping yourdomainname.com". This will give you an IP address, which will take a similar form to 212.23.10.81 or 62.3.91.9.
If this number is 212.23.10.81, or 62.3.91.(a number lower than 26), it's a RaQ4. If this number is 62.3.91.(a number higher than 26), then it's a RaQ550.
How do I upload files to the Web space?
Any FTP software is fine for this purpose. SmartFTP is recommended as it is easy to use, includes lots of advanced features and is free! See www.smartftp.com to download a copy.
A couple of other free FTP clients suitable for the purpose are LeechFTP and WS-FTP.
A separate guide to using FTP to upload files is available in the Knowledge Base.
You can do this from any computer connected to the Internet. There is no need to be on a Zen IP address.
The server name for uploading files is the same as your domain name. The username and password are the ones we have given you.
How do I send mails through the server?
You can send mails through the server from any IP address - but you have to collect your mail first of all. If you connect your email program to the server and download any messages, you will be able to send mails through the server for a period of 15 minutes.
