Zen Internet wins its eighth PC Pro Best ISP award

PC Pro Awards

30 September 2011: Zen Internet has been awarded the PC Pro Best ISP for the eighth time at this year’s PC Pro Excellence Awards held on 29th September.

These awards are the most comprehensive guide to customer support and product reliability in the UK and Europe and are compiled from the UK’s largest independent survey of IT customer satisfaction.

On collecting the Award at the ceremony, Andrew Saunders, Head of Product Management and Marketing, Zen Internet, said:

We are delighted to have won this award for an amazing eighth time, it’s fantastic. We are so grateful to all of our customers for their continued support, especially those who took the time to vote for us.

We operate in an incredibly competitive market place that is increasingly dominated by suppliers with very aggressive pricing policies. At Zen we have remained focussed on providing quality products backed by excellent customer service and believe that this provides real value for our customers.

Our continued success in the PC Pro awards is amazing and results from the commitment of the entire team at Zen, especially our Technical Support and Customer Services teams, who all support our mission to provide the best ISP service in the UK. I am very keen that we don’t rest on our laurels. It has been an incredibly busy year for Zen, in the last 12 months we have transformed our broadband portfolio with the continued roll-out of fibre optic broadband together with our telephone line services.

Zen’s fibre optic broadband was also a finalist for PC Pro Business Product of the Year. Zen’s fibre optic broadband packages offer download speeds of "Up to 40Mbps" and upload speeds of “up to 10Mbps”. Its fibre optic broadband product portfolio is tailored for both residential and business customers and has been developed by connecting to BT’s Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) technology. All are supported by a highly robust and resilient network and award winning technical support and customer service.

Earlier this year Zen launched its new lower priced entry-level fibre optic broadband package, Fibre Lite. This product has been developed for customers that want to benefit from faster speeds but do not have massive download requirements.

A number of Zen’s customers are now trialling Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) services. Zen is one of a select few ISPs chosen by BT to run early trials of the service. The FTTP trials are scheduled to run until the end of 2011. Bradwell Abbey (Milton Keynes) and Highams Park (North London) are already underway with Leytonstone, York and Chester South now live with several more exchanges to be enabled by January 2012.

Zen Home Talk and Business Talk products are some of the best featured but lowest priced telephone line services available. These products have now been available for just over a year and provide the same high level of service and support as Zen’s award winning broadband for both home and business customers. Customers benefit from being able to use Zen for talking as well as surfing, by only having to deal with one supplier saving both time and money.
