- * The security license is a fundamental aspect of our managed FortiGate service. If you require ongoing management after the first 12 months of service then a new license will need to be purchased prior to the expiry date of the included 12 month license. We cannot provide a full management service on firewalls that do not have an up-to-date security license. This doesn't apply to leasing customers whose service will always benefit from a fully licensed network security firewall.
