Switching your broadband service to us is easy!
If you already have broadband with another Internet Service Provider (ISP), we may be able to switch your broadband service over to us without waiting for your current ISP to cancel it. Without a migration you may risk loss of service for several days. Our migration service is available at no extra cost and has been designed to reduce the amount of broadband downtime and inconvenience to an absolute minimum.
Please note that if you are ordering a Fibre Optic Broadband service for the first time i.e. you are currently using ADSL broadband, a fee for onsite installation will be charged.
3 simple steps:
- Check that we can provide you with business Fibre Optic Broadband by using our broadband avaiability checker.
- Contact your existing ISP and ask them to provide you with a Migrations Authorisation Code (MAC). Please make sure your existing ISP is aware that do not want your broadband service ceased (cancelled) until the migration has been completed.
- Choose your broadband service and place your order by visiting our online ordering page where you will be asked for your MAC and the name of the ISP that you are switching from.
How to get your MAC code?
Please use the table below to find your existing ISP's contact details. Simply give them a call and they will provide you with your MAC code, which is valid for 30 days, within five days of your call.
Remember, do not cancel your contract when you receive your MAC code as it can take five to ten days before you are connected to Zen Internet via a Fibre Optic Broadband service (subject to engineer availability).

How long will it take to switch to Zen Internet Fibre Broadband?
As soon as your broadband order has been accepted and ongoing payment has been processed we’ll make arrangements with you to set an appointment date for the service to be installed. Following this, we will send a migration request to BT Wholesale (BTW) who will send an e-mail to your existing ISP, notifying them of your intent to migrate to Zen. An installation point will normally be available within 5-10 working days, subject to engineer availability.
Your broadband service with your existing ISP will continue until the migration is completed. We will e-mail you to let you know the exact date when your broadband service will be switched to us, along with some useful information on how to use and maintain your new broadband connection.
Important information:
- Please note that we will be unable to start a migration without your MAC.
- The broadband migration process does depend on the co-operation of your existing ISP. In the event that a migration cannot take place, you will need to arrange for your existing ISP to cease (cancel) your broadband service so that we can arrange for a new connection to be configured on your line
- Your existing ISP should not withhold a MAC. However, if you are still in contract, they may charge early termination fees
- In the event that the request to migrate is rejected by your existing ISP, BT or Zen Internet cannot provide any arbitration between yourself and your existing ISP
- Although a successful migration should result in much less downtime than a 'cease and re-provide', unfortunately we cannot provide any guarantees as to how successful the migration process will be or how long your broadband service will be out of operation during the migration
