If you’re looking for mountain bike or road bike routes across Northern England, pedalnorth.com is the place for you. It’s a site run by cycling enthusiasts for cycling enthusiasts.
Norman Hadley, a keen cyclist from Garstang in Lancashire, has teamed up with Yorkshire biking devotees to create an inviting cross-generational Web site for cyclists across Northern England.
The site features a database of suggested routes for mountain-biking and road-biking enthusiasts stretching across Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire and North-East England. The pedal-ways are written up with turn-by-turn instructions, photographs and Ordnance Survey map references and there are also links to suggested accommodation, café stops and inns.
The site caters for all abilities, from easy family rides along the Conder Green railway track to technical, rocky descents in the Lakes. Norman’s favourite rides, around Grizedale, Beacon Fell and the Trough of Bowland, are already featured and he plans more additions over the coming months.
