Zen Internet launches Wholesale Voice Service

02 May 2007: Zen Internet today announced the launch of Zen Wholesale Voice, their voice offering for customers with their own PBX with SIP interface (usually known as an IP PBX). The offering has been designed to allow customers to use their existing hardware to reduce their phone bill by using Zen’s voice network.

Customers will need to have either a Leased Line with Zen or have a presence in Telecity Manchester to be able to use this service and will need to be able to manage and configure their own PBX. As with many of Zen’s services, there is a minimum one month contract and customers will be able to monitor their phone bill using the customer portal, which is updated hourly.

Ian Gisbourne, VoIP Product Manager commented

"Zen Wholesale Voice is the first of our Voice offerings, and we believe that many customers who have their own existing infrastructure will be able to save money by using the service. We recognise that many customers are looking to take advantage of the cost benefits that come with moving away from the traditional ways of routing calls, and by introducing this product we are allowing them to do that with the minimum amount of outlay and fuss."
