N+1 HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning and Cooling) systems
The HVAC system automatically controls the climate and maintains optimum air quality within our data centre to ensure that your hosted equipment operates at the best possible level.
VESDA® air-sampling smoke detection system
The VESDA® air-sampling smoke detection system has been designed to detect the early signs of a potential fire hazard. The VESDA system takes air samples from the data centre facility and monitors them for particles of combustion (or smoke). This system ensures that we can detect and deal with a potential fire hazard before it becomes a real danger.
Inergen® gaseous fire suppression
Inergen® is a blend of nitrogen, carbon dioxide and argon gases. When used at a certain concentration Inergen® reduces the level of oxygen to the point where combustion is not possible. In the event of a fire within our data centre the Inergen® system will act to suppress it.
Raised heavy duty flooring
The implementation of heavy duty flooring into our data centre means that we can safely support a point loading of 4.5KN. The 60cm raised flooring enables us to run cabling safely under floor whilst at the same time ensuring that there is ample room for airflow.
Under floor leak detection
Under the raised heavy duty flooring within our data centre we have a range of sensors that detect the first signs of a fluid leak. Similar to the VESDA and Inergen systems, we can detect and deal with the potential hazard before it impacts on the safety of your hosted equipment.
