Our N+1 HVAC system ensures that the climate within our data centre is maintained at optimum conditions to offer best hardware performance and protect against early life hardware failure due to overheating. On-line UPS' provide a conditioned power supply to protect your investment against electrical surging.

With our colocation services you will receive a 100Mbps Ethernet connection with a choice of fixed bandwidth or usage based billing.

We have the necessary disaster management systems in place to ensure that your services stay online 24/7. The investment in resilient power and communications links means that even in a disaster situation your business critical systems can continue to operate.

Convenient, low risk colocation site

Our Manchester colocation facility is in a low risk location outside of the city centre. The data centre is also just off the M62 ensuring easy access if you need physical access to your equipment. You can get quick and easy access by booking on the online booking system within our Customer Portal.

Hardware Installation Service

This service removes the need for your engineers to visit the data centre in order to physically install hardware into your allocated rack. This service, together with the ability to receive customer equipment that is delivered directly to the data centre, means we can effectively remove the burden of visiting the data centre site as your infrastructure grows. Our third line engineers will unpack, physically install and connect your equipment following detailed instructions from you.

Tape Rotation and Storage Service

This service is another way to remove the burden of your engineers having to visit the data centre to complete routine tasks. Our third line engineers can, on detailed instruction from you, rotate backup tapes between the backup device and a physical safe located in the data centre. We support the common daily and weekly tape rotation cycles.

Comprehensive Technical Support and Remote Hands

Sending engineers to site to perform emergency maintenance can be an inconvenient and sometimes costly process. In order to help support the operation of your hosted equipment, and therefore your business, we offer a comprehensive support service covering the management of onsite activities, help desk and fault reporting and remote hands. Remote Hands is defined as any instance where intervention to customer equipment is required, where the actions taken are to precise customer instruction, and the responsibility of the outcome of those actions remains with the customer. The following activities are covered by this service:

Remote Hands

• Re-set, re-boot and power cycle customer's servers which are part of their equipment
• Check and replacement of circuit patch leads and patch panel connections
• Visual inspection of hardware including status indicators
• Cable tracing
• Change-out faulty plug-in type (commonly known as hot swappable) components, using spares provided by the customer

Customers are provided with five instances of Remote Hands per calendar month. Each instance of Remote Hands lasts a maximum of 1 hour and additional Remote Hands instances can be purchased per instance. More detailed information is available in our Service Level Agreement document.

Manageable and cost-effective pricing

With our colocation services you simply pay a monthly operating cost dependent on how much space, power and bandwidth you require.
